Web design for Crewe businesses, starting with garages and salons.

Websites, local SEO, missed-call text-back and reviews for garages and salons in Crewe. The Crewe and Nantwich constituency had 27.5% of Cheshire East's residents at the 2021 Census, and has about a quarter of its garage and salon sites but under a fifth of its business sites. Remote, on UK time.

Crewe is in Cheshire East, and at the 2021 Census its built-up area had 74,120 residents with a median age of 38. Nantwich, which shares its parliamentary constituency, had 18,740 and a median age of 46, so Crewe is the larger and younger of the two. The business counts below belong to that shared constituency, and they are read against Cheshire East as a whole.

Thirteen wards, one constituency

The Parliamentary Constituencies Order 2023 makes up Crewe and Nantwich from thirteen Cheshire East wards: six Crewe wards (Central, East, North, South, St. Barnabas and West), Nantwich North and West, Nantwich South and Stapeley, Haslington, Leighton, Shavington, Willaston and Rope, and Wistaston. No ward lies outside Cheshire East, so the constituency's counts can be set against the authority's own. Nantwich and the constituency's other wards sit inside the same boundary, though, so none of the counts is Crewe's alone, and they cannot be split between the places it covers.

More than a quarter of the residents, under a fifth of the businesses

The constituency had 109,504 of Cheshire East's 398,772 usual residents at the 2021 Census, 27.5%. UK Business Counts 2026 (ONS, on Nomis) puts 4,165 business sites, which the ONS calls local units, in the constituency, out of 22,390 across Cheshire East: under a fifth, so it has fewer business sites per resident than the authority as a whole. Garages and salons are not part of that gap: the constituency has 95 of the authority's 365 motor-vehicle repair sites and 95 of its 375 hairdressing and beauty sites, about a quarter of each, roughly in line with its share of residents. Other human health activities, at 60 of 280, sit between the two. All of these counts are rounded to the nearest five, and they are shares of business sites set against 2021 residents, so they are a rough guide rather than a measure of how busy any trade is.

Garages

Motor-vehicle repair makes up about 2.3% of the constituency's business sites, against 1.6% across Cheshire East: a larger share of a smaller business base, and about level with the authority once residents are counted. For a garage in Crewe, our build standard puts first what a customer choosing between garages can check before ringing: prices labelled as fixed or as an estimate, with the VAT position beside each, and a way to book. When nobody in the workshop can pick up, Missed-Call Text-Back texts the caller once, or the AI Receptionist answers. Garages and MOT centres sets out the rules behind the prices, the MOT reminders and the accreditation logos, and SEO covers the pages for the area a garage serves.

Salons

Hairdressing and beauty shows the same pattern: its 95 sites are about 2.3% of the constituency's business sites, against 1.7% across Cheshire East, and about level per resident. For a salon in Crewe, Review Management asks every customer once for a Google review after the visit, with nothing offered, and drafts a reply to every Google review for your approval. Google Business Profile management keeps the profile in your own Google account. Beauty and wellness clinics covers the claims a salon's site can make, and when an IV drip or wellness clinic is treated as a clinic.

Clinics and practices

Specialist medical practice falls well short of the constituency's share of residents: it has 5 of Cheshire East's 95 sites, about one in twenty, and a count rounded to the nearest five is rough at that size. The code is not a clinic count, so it settles nothing about clinics in Crewe. Where a clinic here needs the advertising rules, aesthetic clinics sets them out. Dental practice, at 20 of 110, and veterinary activities, at 15 of 85, sit near the constituency's fifth of the business sites, and each has rules of its own, on dental practices and veterinary practices.

From a distance

Our Cheshire page covers the county as a whole, and for builders and other trades, trades and home services covers the work. WebAsk is a trading name of Naxdor, an enskild firma registered in Sweden, and works fully remotely, so nobody travels to Crewe: the work runs on video calls and in writing, starting with a free 30-minute call, then a written scope with the price in it within three working days.

FAQ

Crewe: frequently asked questions

A website starts at £3,500 for five pages, as a fixed fee, and SEO at £750 a month. For the phone, Missed-Call Text-Back starts at £99 a month with a one-off £249 set-up, and the AI Receptionist at £199 a month with a one-off £499 set-up; on both, usage is billed on top at cost, based on what you use. Each figure is excl. VAT. A Crewe garage or salon can start with the phone services alone, since they run without a new site.
